THE MARIETTA JOURNAL
Drug Store Ticket
YOU KNOW THAT ONE
CAN'T TRUST ON HIS
MEMORY IN BUSINESS
OUR friends who from time to time have asked us to
“Just make a ticket” for this or the other purchase
that they have made, and who have then sure enough
forgotten all about buying that thing two or three days
later are in the same boat that we are.
We quit selling anything on a credit plan two years ago.
We now haven’t a single book on which to transfer this
“charge tickets” and if you don’t “drop in in an hour or
so” and pay for the item, then the little ticket gets lost
and then we are out the amount of that ticket. And if
vwe send our delivery boy back to you two or three
times with that ticket you will sooner or later get
offended—and pretty soon, may be, you may get mad at
us, or we may feel that you shouldn’t have forgotton so
soon.
The practice is growifig among our customers, to such
an extent that we must cither stop “making tickets” or
else go back to the old bookkeeping system. As things
are now we are losing much money through the over
sight of our good friends and all of us—customers and
druggists—are being annoyed about an unneccessary
matter.
Let’s stop the practice. If you order a thing
delivered at your home—have the money ready
The boy that delivers will always have change
for a dollar. By eliminating the credit business
we were enabled to save our customers many a
dollar. Please helpus to continue on a business
like cash basis.
" PLEASE DO NOT ASK US TO
MAKE ANY MORE TICKETS
