Mr. J. Alex Thomas, formerly of
this place, died in Atlanta, March
the Ist and was buried at the Davis
cemetery on the second. He was a
brother to Mr. J. H. Thomas of this
place. He leaves a wife and several
children. We tender our sympathies
to the bereaved.
Mr. and Mrs. Thos. H. Pitts, of At
lanta, visited Mableton, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Dodgen were
called to Thomaston, last week on
account of the si~kness of their son
and wife, Dr. and Mrs. L. A. Dodgen.

[the failure in cotton, many new in

will have to be tried to find out,
which is most profitable and it will|

build a canning factory is a wise
move. After vegetables get plentifus
the curb market will be glutted and
a factory could use up the surplus.
It will be necessary to take care of
this for the farmers to get a profit. l
