H“JUST AS GOOD’’ STATEMENT
1
i IS NOT TRURE
! “Just as good as a new one” is a
. statemerrt often made and seldom
~true. The need is for the good bat
| tery, the standard battery of honest
construction but many battery fixers
have fallen for the idea that they can
| build a. battery as well, but a lot
cheaper than the manufacturer who
uses volume production methods and
who has the pick of the market for
supbplies.
“The rebuilt battery,” says Mr.
G. C. Langford local Willard service
station man, “is often made of parts
from discarded batteries which have
just enough more life in them to geot
by the purchase date. A few new
parts may be added, a new case and
,a lot of new paint and then the said
refrain “just as good.”
. The car driver who wants satis
factory battery operation is advised
by Mr. G. C. Langford to go to the
authorized battery service station re.
,presenting a standard make of bat

rutation of a manufacturer who has
‘thousands or millions of dollars in
ivested in plant and equipment be
