| At the last meeting of Kennesaw
Jodge, No. 83, F. & A. M.,Dr. J. R.
Greer, who has served the Lodge as
Secretary for the past five years, was
presented with a beauatiful lambskin
apron, nicely embroidered and appro
priately inseribed. This apron was pur
‘chased by Mr. E L. Roberson when in
Cincinnati. Mr. Roberson on behalf of
the Jodge made a beautifal little gpeech
of presentation, which was responded
to quite feelingly by Dr Grear. This
- was a well-deserved tribute paid to Dr
| Greer for his faithful services as sacre
tary, and is highly appreciated by him.

'who has been ecalled to succeed Rev,
| Charles Noyes Tyndell as Rector of
'St 'James’ Church, reached the city
| this week and it was expected he would
| preach Sunday but was called back to
| Virginia by a telegram announcing the
] illness of & member of his church there.

I A Small Blaze.
The fire department was called out at
| seven o’clock Tuesday evening to look
after an incipient fire in the Gober
building, adjoining the court house. It
was occasioned by a defective flue from
the Greek restaurant on the ground
floor, but being discovered in time, only
slight damage resulted,
