the egg hunt Friday afternoon at
the spring.
Mrs. Mitchell Lindley and son.

bedside of her father, Mr. Furr, who
is quite sick.
The many friends of Mr. Elmer
Lindley will be sorry to know he is
ill,
Messrs. Luther Rice and Frank
Lindley attended an Easter supper
at Austell Saturday evening.
The oyster'supper was largely at
tended Saturday evening at the
Academy. A nice time was enjoy
ed and a neat sum realized.
The Baptist Sunday School ren-}
dered an excellent Easter program
Sunday just after the lessons were
finished. This was highly enjoyed
by all present.
Rev. Mr. Gilland, of Atlanta,
preached a very appropriate Easter
sermon at the Methodist cbhurch at
the eleven o’clock service Sunday.
Mr. Boyd Vaughn, who is attend
ing college at Waleska, spent the
week-end at home.
Mr. Elisha Lindley’s condition
seems to be much better.
Mrs. Sarah Miller is seriously ill
again, we are sorry to note. It is
feared she may not recover.
Mr. E. T. Leake spent the week
end in Taylorsville.
Mr. W. R. Tapp has closed avery
successfnl school at Flint Hill Acad
emy.
Mrs. E. E. Stewart left last week
for a vigit to her motherin Acworth.

dwelling and move his family here.

Married—On Sunday afternoon
Miss Jessie Spier of this place and
Mr. J. P. Kendrick, of Marietta,
Rev. George Crow performed the
ceremony. The bride is a charm
ing young lady whose many lovable
qualities have endeared her to a
large circle of friends And we
think Mr Kendrick made a wise
choice in winning Miss Jessie for a
bride. The groom is a Christian
young man and a true gentleman.
They have many friends bere and
in Marietta who unite in wishing
this worthy young couple prosperity
and happiness

ed March 28th with J. . Lewis, presi
dent and B. A Fite, vice-president,
Mr. Stubbs is cashier. He has been
connected with Mr J. D, Walker's
banks for some time and comes highly
recommended. Mr. J. D. Walker who
organized the bank recently sent out
circulars giving the history of his life
and those investing hope that his

and will be brought home as soon
