preach at Bethlehem church, in Mer
} ritts’ distriet, on Saturday and Sunday,
the 14th and 15th, followed on the last ‘

preachers of the Primitive Baptist,

Death of Mrs. Foster,
Mrs. Arminda Foster, widow of the
late William F. Foster, died Thurs.

Kennesaw House Again Changes
Hands.
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bishop have
taken charge of the Kennesaw House,
and will conduct the business for the

hotel business, Mr. and Mrs. Bishop

Coroner Holds Inquest.
" Coroner Reed was called on Sunday
lmorning to hold an inquest over the
body of Bob Jenkins, who was found
dead in bed at his home on Lemon
street. A jury was empamelled and
sworn, andall the testimony was heard,
but nothing was ascertained to indi
cate the negro came to his death from

Lloyd Adjudged a Lunatic.{
Charlie Lloyd, the negro who so se
riously cut Sheriff MeKinney two
weeks ago. when that officer was at
tempting to effect his arrest on a war
rant for lunacy, was tried before Ordi
nary Gann and a jury Monday. The
negro was brought before them and
evidence submitted, and upon the
showing ;made, was adjudged a luna
tic. He _will be carried to the State
Sanitarium at orce. The jury passing
upon the case was coniposed of Dr. W,
H. Perkinson and Messrs. W. S N
Neal, J. H. Bruce, D. H. MeCleskey,
J. W. Morris and N. B. White.
