Some {eau ago a contractor build
ing a railroad in a warm climate Was
troubled a fiat deal by sickness
among the laborers.
He turned his attention at once to
their food and found that they were
m!nll rations of meat and were
inking water from a stream near by.
He issued orders to cut down the
amount of meat and to increase ‘frcatly
the quantity of Quaker Qats fed to the
men.
He also boiled Quaker Qats and
mixed the thin oatmeal water with
their drinking water. Almost instantly
all signs of stomach disorders passed
and his men showed a decided improve
ment in strength and spirits. This con
tractor had experience that taught him
the great value of good oatmeal. 3

To the Voters of Cobb County: As
already announced by me in this pa
per I am in the race for re-election as
one of the representatives from this
county in the next legislature, hut to
stay at my post of duty until the ses
sion ended, which 1 did, there was not
enough time left in which to canvass
the county; cousequently 1 shall be
unable to see each voter and ask his
support personally. But 1 am not a
stranger to the people; they have my 1
record before them in the legislature.
The daily and weekly pnapers have
published all the happenings and how
each member voted. 1 have tried to
vote for good measures and against
bad cnes, and my record in the legis
lature is my speech to you.
I stand on that and ask you to return
me. I am under many obligations for
the term you have given me and will
appreciate your further support. The
office is yours, and, if you see fit to
give it to me again, 1 shall be glad of
it, and if you do not, I have no word
of complaint.
Respectfully,

The milefige of the blood”circuldtion
reveals some astonishing facts. It has

the blood goes at the rate of 207 yards ‘

220 miles a day and 80,000 miles a
