LOST MOUNTAIN,
: Mr. Zepporak Henson, wife of
Mr. Bartow Henson, of Emmer
son, was buried here Monday ai
ternoon. She was a member of
the Baptist church. The friends
and relatives here extend their
tender sympathy to the bereaved
husband.
A very interesting meeting
closed here Friday night with 12
accessions to the church—four by
letter, and eight by experience.
The church was revived and built
up spiritually and many recon
secrated themselves for the ser
vice of the Lord.
Sam Moon spent Saturday
night in Acworth.
Protracted meeting is in pro
gress this week at the Baptist
Church. Pastor J. J. Crow is as
sisted by his son, George, and
Prof. Ralph Donehoo.
It is a mighty good time to fix
your turnip patch now, for you
will need the turnips after while
and it beats borrowing.
Prof. B. B. Beall will open a
ten days’ singing school at Mid
way next Monday, 21st inst.

Mr. J. W. Morgan, of Fulton
county, who 1s building on his
farm near this place, was badly
hurt by a crowbar falling and
strtking him on the head, last
Tuesday. Dr. J. M. Moore gave
him medical attention,
Mrs. Eliza Barfield, who has
been veéyry sick, is improving.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams, of
Atlanta, were on a visit in this
county last week.

The aunual picnic of-the corres
pondgnts of the Journal'and Courier
will be held at Olive Springs on Fri
day, August 26. At the same time
the Olive Springs Literary Society
will meet and rendera fine program.
All are urged to come and bring
the proverbial ‘‘well-filled baskets.*’
The editors and correspondents of
the other county papers are cordial
ly invited to join in the picnic and
the county officers £nd other public
officials will find s hearty welcome.

who was thrown from a buggy last
Friday and seriously injured, suffer
ing a broken shoulder and arm.
