~ Died, on Sunday night the im
mortal spirit of Mrs. Mary Shaw
‘wingea its flight to the beautiful
realms above. Mrs. Shaw has been
almost an invalid for several years,
but nc one ever heard her complain.
She experienced religion early in
life and has been loved and highly
esteemed member of the Methodist
church. Meek and letiring she was
more ready to listen than to speak,
but in her conversation there was
no uncertain sound. Jesus was her
hope of salvation and His finished
work was what she loved to hear
proclaimed. She was firmly estab
lished in the truth and no mind or
doctrine could move her. Her
husband passed away several years
ago and she bas been kindly and
lovingly cared for by her daughters
and sons. Several weeks ago she
was taken severely ill and gradually{
grew weaker until the end came
peacefully. Another loved one has|
been taken to be ‘‘forever with the
Lord.” While we feel it is weH'
with her yet the loved ones cannot |
help weeping becaure they will see
her face no more. May God com
fort each sorrowing heart zmd'
enable them tosay “'nevertheless not |
my will, but thine be done.” She
is survived hy five sons and three
daughters. The funeral was con- |
ducted at Milford, on Monday after- |
noon by Rev G. V. Crow. The
bereaved family and relatives have
our sympathy. CLYDE. ¢ |
