'Well Known Hotel Changes
f Hands On the First of

Mr. W. A. Bishop, who has had
charge of the Kennesaw house for
several months, has surrendered the
management to Mr. W. A. Gatlin, who
will hereafter manage it.
It is understood Mr. Gatlin has
secured a lease on the property to run
a term of years. He has a force of
carpenters. plasterers, plumbers, paint
ers and decorators at work, and is
giving the building a complete over
hauling and renovating.
More bath rooms will be added, and
one or more private dining rooms will
be fitted up.
Mr. Gatlin will conduct the establish
ment on both the American and
European plans, and proposes to gtve
the best hotel service the town has ever
enjoyed. He has secured a corps of
trained servants, and will run the
house in the latest up-to-date style.
While never before in the hotel busi
ness, Mr. Gatlin has made a success
in other lines, and knows what a first
class hotel should be, and will en
deavor to give Marietta all this.

Protracted Meeting.
Commencing Sunday morning, with
services conducted by Rev. Mr. Ed
munds, there will be a protracted
meeting at Rose Lane church, which
will continue for two weeks. "Rev. J.
J. Crow will have visiting ministers to
assist him from time to time during
the meeting, and it is expected a great
interest will be taken by the church
members in these services. All are in
vited to attend.

system of publie schools for the town

said town of Powder Springe on the
15th day of October, 1910. for the pur
pose of determining whether a system
of public schools shall be established in
said town or not. Said election will be
