Bazar By The Rifles.
Thursday night, June 22nd, the Ma
rietta Rifles will hold a bazar in the
Park. Many valuable articles will be
disposed of, and ice cream and coke
will be served. The merchants have
generously come to the aid of the mil
itary company, and given shoes, hats,
umbrellas, pants, cigars, furniture,
etc. It hoped that every one will come
out and heip the cause along, as the
company lost over $600.00 worth of
property in the recent fire, and needs
the support of the people. !

Doan has kindly congented to give the
explanatory lecture, which accomanies
the pictures. There will be music and
other attractions.
Accompanying the pictures and his
tory of ‘‘Our Flag’’ are some beautiful
illustrations of ‘‘Continental Hall’' in
Washington, D. D., which has been
built by the Daughters of the Ameri
can Revolution at a cost of a million
dollars, and is exquisite in all its ap
pointments,

Rev. Thomas C, Carleton, of Okla
homa City, will preach at the Baptist
Church Sunday morning and Sunday

Mr. Jim McKinney had hig right
hand badly mashed a few days ago
by the windowlof a street car fall
ing on it while on his way to Atlanta.
The bones were not broken but
the bruise is a very painful one.

Death of Mr. M. A. Cason.
Mr. M. A. Cason died in Atlanta
Tuesday at the home of his son.
The funeral will be held at the
Methodist Church at Kennesaw
Thureday morning at ten o’clock.

The committee that is soliciting
subseriptions for the band concerts
in the city park this summer reports
a total of three hundred dollars up
to Wednesday at noon. Mayor
Clay and Mr. Gordan B. Gann, who
compose the committee, are devot
ing considerable energy to the cause
and should have a liberal response
from the public.
