were among our callers last Monday.
Miss Rosa Willingham spent the
week end in Dalton with Miss Willie
White and was charmingly entertained.

Fairburn, announce the birth of a
daughter who will be named Bertha

Mrs. Guyton Parmer Reynolds, her
infant son, Parmer Adams, and maid
leave tomorrow for Asheville to spend
a month.
All the tents at the Marietta Camp
ground are full and the attendance
upon the services is greater than it has
been in years.

Raymond, of Atlanta, are guests of
Mrs. Fannie Anderson and Mr. and Mrs.

Mr. Hugh Hill is spending awhile in
the country with his grandmother,

his recent illness.

been guests of Mrs. Murray Hawkins
for several weeks.

Cumming a few days ago with his fa
ther, Mr. S. A. Anderson, Col. C. H.
Griffin and Mr. Will Lindsey.
Mrs. J. T. Morris and little son have
returned to Nelson after a visit to Mrs.
Tarrant in Atlanta and to her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Simpson.

Miss Marguerite. Howland and her

Miss Allie May Simpson is spending
the month of August with Mrs. Walter
Brakefield in Etowah, Tenn., and Mas
ter Edward Simpson is with relatives
in Norcross.
Mrs. Edward Groves returned from
a most delightful visit to Mrs. Van
Swaringen in Cleveland, Ohio, last
week and is now in Acworth with her
mother and aunt.
Mrs. W. H. Felton, of Cartersville,
was a delegate to the convention that
nominated Theodore Roosevelt for pre
sident and so was Mrs. Helen Long
street, of Gainesville.
Mrs. Newt Heggie has been spend
ing several weeks with Mrs. A. Y.
Leake and Miss Marie Leake in New
York. Mrs. Robert Northcutt has
been with them, also, part of the time.
Mrs. M. D. Hodges entertained her
42 club Friday afternoon inviting in
addition to the members: Mrs. Alban
Gilbert, Mrs. W. A. Sams, Mrs. J. H.
Smith, Mrs. J. J. Daniell, Miss Louise
Awtrey and Mrs. Howard McFail.
~ Miss Lamar Latham, of Washington,
D. C. arrived Sunday to visit Miss Eve
lyn Clay. She and Miss Pauline Boyle,
of Union City, Pa., will remain with
Miss Clay until the middle of Septem
ber when she leaves for school at Ran
dolph-Macon College in Virginia.
