U. D. C. MEETING.
Last Tuesday the U. D. C. met at
Mrs. J. R. Fowler’s. Mrs. R. T. Nes
bitt read the report of Mrs. Ollie
King, of Richmond, who represented
our chapter at the general conven
tion in Washington, with her own re
flections of ineidents at the meetings
especially the speeches of President
Taft and Hon. W. J. Bryan.
Mrs. Nesbitt urged the members to
take an interest in the sale of the Ar
lington seals for Christmas packages.
They are for sale by Mrs. Lyon, Miss
Nina Moon, Miss Ava Welsh, and at
the Berry Tavern.
- Mrs. Campbell Wallace compliment
ed her niece, Miss Alice Wellons with
a theatre party Tuesday evening
which was followed by a buffet sup
per at her home on Kennesaw Ave.

Miss Clara Williams gave a lovely‘;
dinner at her home in Acworth for

viting school mates of their child
hood and having place cards inscrib
ed with the first bar of the air Auld
Lang Syne. Mrs. L. M. Awtrey also
entertained at 42 on Thursday for
Miss Cooper.
Mrs. J. H. Patton was hostess of
the Round Dozen Luncheon Club at
it’s last meeting. Pink carnations
formed the centerpiece and the plaee
cards were Japanese scenes. Mrs.
Moultrie Sessions took the place of
Miss Sallie Camp who is visiting Dr.
and Mrs. Walter Camp in Missouri.
Prof. Howell will give the second
grade of the High School a Matinee
party at the Princess Theatre Friday
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. B. J. MeFarland (nee
Fannie Morris), of San Franciseo, are
now in Japan on their wedding journey
around the world.
