night there was a most interesting
and beautiful Christmas entertain
ment given by the Sunday school.
The lovely decorations in green, the
scintillating star suspended beneath
the gasoline globe and the brilliant
white light flooding the old churcn
made a scene of beauty which was a
delight to all. The entertainment
was the celebration of the birthday
of the King born at Bethlehem nine
teen hundred years ago. The gifts
were all in white and the classes in
order, beginning with the youngest,
marched to music past a beautiful
white cross in front of the pulpit an &
deposited their gifts to the King un
til they grew to a Snowy pile of bun
dles and boxes at the foot of the
cross. These gifts are to be dis
tributed to the needy and destitute
ones in the name of the King. The
church was full almost to overflow
ing, the music was fine and the tell
ing by the pastor, Rev. R. E. Carson,
of the entrancing story by P Nan
Dyke of the wise men following the
rays of the stars to the baby King as
he lay in the manger at Bethlehem.
thrilled both old and young. This
altogether delightful entertainment
will not soon be forgotten.
