Dekalb county, said state, desire tc
form a corporation to be known as
ATLANTA & NORTH GEORGIA
RAILROAD
for the purpose of constructing and
operating a railroad, sixty miles in
length, as nearly as can be estimat
ed; the same to run in a northly di
rection of Atlanta, Georgia: to run
probably through the counties of
Fulton, Cobb, Milton, Forsyth and
Cherokee, said state; to be construe
ted from Atianta to and through the
towns of Bolton, Roswell ,Crabapple
Alpharetta, Cumming and Creightou,
all insaid state.
The capital stock of said Railroad
Company shall be One Million Two
Hundred Thousand ($1,200,000)
Dollars comon stock, and Five Hun
dred Thousand ($500,000) Dollars
preferred stock, bearing five per cent
dividnds non cnmulativ, all of said
stock divided into shares of the par
value of One Hundred Dollars each.
Said corporation to continue for
ninety-nine years, with the privilege
of renewal at that time.
The principal office of said corpor
ation to be lotated at Atlanta, Geor
gia.
Petitioners intend in good faith te
go forward without delay to secure
subscriptions to the capital stock of
said corporation, and to construct,
equip, maintain and operate said
railroad.
WHEREFORE, Petitioners request
to be incorperated under the laws of
said State, as aforesaid. Having
given four weeks notice of their in
tention to apply for said charter, by
the publication of the foregoing pe
tition in the newspaper in which the
Sheriff's advertisements are publish
ed in each of the counties through
which proposed road will probably
run, once a week for four weeks be
fore the filing of this petition.
