ory for Senator Hoke Smith. He
carried, it scems, not less than 135
counties and will have a majority
of probably 160 votes in the Con
vention. His popular majority may
run as high as 60,000,

ably fifteen ccunties. He has lost
both Cobb and Cherokee, this vounty‘

which shall fill the Bacon vacancy.

Senator Dobbs again. He was nomi
nated over Mr, John D. Perkerson
by a narrow margin.
Mr. Dobbs majority in the entirve
county was 161,

T. Dorsey were elected to the logis
lature.
There was no opposition to C. \W.
DuPre and T. J. Connor for execu
tive committeemen in the Marietta
box.
Of ninety nine counties from which
returns have been received Gover
nor Brown is said to have carried
Colquitt, Early, Glascock, Oconee and
Upson and will carry about a dozen
others.
The Constitution of Thursday
morning, on the basis of figures re
ceived gives the result as follows,
subject to slight changes:
Smith 133 counties; Brown 15;
Slaton 60; Hardwick 45; Felder 38;
Hutchens o; Harris 72; Hardman
66; and Anderson 10.
Hoke Smith carried Fulton by
5,849, and Slaton carried it by 1,554
Judge Harris carried the county by
