MRS. LOU TRIPPE.
If you do not know Mrs. Tripp
you have missed a fine sensation.
She lives in Kennesaw where she is
2 dynamo of industry, but she does
her trading for the most part in
Marietta because she appreciates the
advantages of buying from whole
cale houses.
She is always smiling and in al
most breathiess haste. I am not
sure that she has ever taken a
rocker to rest a minute after climp
ing the stairs to our office to pay
aer subscription or for some little
for sale ad. as many do, but she
always comes in like a wholesome
breeze and talks exactly to the point
and with compelling conviction.
In glanecing at her signature on
a check recently I asked if she had
not forgotton the e at the end of
her name. She cooley replied: *Of
tener than not I just leave it off be
cause I'm in a hurry and its of no
consequence anyway. What differ
ence does one little e on the end of
my name make?”’
She recently brought me a basket
of red wine sap apples and told me
to have them baked if I could afford
the sugar to sweeten them. Then
she laughed merrily and said: Don't
think about hard times. I don't,
I've got fat pigs in a pen, potatoes,
peas, peanuts, a garden and a pan
try full of fruit and all sorts of good
things to eat. Farmers ought to get
busy and see to it that they raise
plenty of things to eat.” :
The wine sap apples, simply bak
¢d, with a little sugar are not only
fine to eat but look so pretty in
color. Mrs. Trippe hag neighbors
almost as full of energy as she is
and she keeps them keyed up to a
high pitech of enthusiasm. We are
always glad to see her and wish her
type could be greatly increased.
