MARIETTA WINS TWO
Marietta took both ends of a
deuble header from Nelson on the
latters grounds on the Fourth, get
ing the morning game 10 to 7 and
the afternoon game 7 to 3.
Grogan pitched nice ball in the
first game, keeping the hits scatter
ed. The second game was featured
by the pitching of Lowry and the
hitting of Hawkins, Morris and
Kemp. McNeel's fielding at short
was brilliant.
The atmosphere all over the vicin
ity of the ball park was raw from
the brand of umpiring that was
handed out in both games.
This makes 5 games the boys have
copped out of six played.
Norcross is scheduled to be the
next victim, coming here for Satur
day, July Bth. Parker and Kemp
will be battery for Marietta.
