will recall ‘Missie”” Graham who
was a gregt belle in Cobb County
during her girlhood.
On Tuesday afternoon the primary
departinent of the First Baptist
Sunday Scnool, including more than
a hundred children, were entertain
ed at the church. Mrs. Sams, Mrs.
Benson, Mrs. Maadox, Misses Mary
Towers, Nellie Jameson, Alice Moz
ley and Ruby Benson were in
charge. ;
Dr. W. M. Gober has taken a
position as superintendent of a hos
pital in Harrison near Newark, N.
Js The hospital is for the 5,000
employes of the Hyatt Roller Bear
ing Co. and this i’a fine opportuni
ty for Dr. Gober to accomplish much
good as well as to improve himself!

Moore spent last week 35 miles east
of Blue Ridge shooting birds and
brought home among numberless\
partridges, threse wild turkeys. Dr.
McCleskey enterjaineds on New

ANNIVERSARY.
Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Perkinson
celebrated the 6th anniversary of
tneir wedding on Monday, Jan. Ist,
1917, with a family dinner.
The table had a dish of ferns in
the center surrounded by a wreath
of holly and poinsettias and the
season’s colors were carried out in
minor decorations. The white ice
cream nad a red Bix in the center
and was served with white cake.
There was a big turkey with all
the usual accompaniments and a
merry all-day ‘party enjoyed the
happy occasion.
Dr. and Mrs. Perkinson have two
lovely children, a son and a dauga
ter and have recently mowved into
a handsome new residence on
Church streat. :
Their cup of happiness is brim
ming full and the sky above tanem
is radiant.
Their guests on tnis ocecasion in
cluded Mrs. McAtee, Mr. and Mrs.
