Mrs. E. W. Wise, while alighting
the trolly car at Fair Oaks on F¥ri
day mornfng was accidentally
tarown from the car and considera
bly bruised, but fortunately no
bones were broken. She was car
ried to Dr. W. T. Pace's Drug Store
at Smyrna, where the wounds were
dressed by Dr. Pace and she was
later brought to her home at this

usually bad during the holidays and
our people could not get out very
much,
The holidays passed off quiet and
the people behaved themselves like
decent folks, and nobitdy got drunk
so far as we have heard.
Mr. George Lindley and Miss
Ollie Scott were married Sunday,
December 23rd. The couple is a
mong our most popular young pao
ple. Miss Ollie is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Scott. Roy
Thackston and Miss Irene Mayes
accompanied toem to Acworth,
where they were married by Rev,
E.' D, Patton.
Mr. Grady Ferrell and Miss Mary
Gregory were also married Dec. 23d.
We wish both couples abundant
happiness through life.
Joe Cotton, who is attending the
A. & M. Collége, is now boarding at
the dormitory and does not go back
and forth as heretofore.
Hoyle Dobbins visited his uncle
at Cartersville last week,

The announcement of the mar
riage of Mr. Rolle Mosley and Miss
Annie Brown came as a surprise to
their many friends.
The wedding occured Sunday, De
cember 24th, in Atlanta.
The bride and groom are well
know here, where they nave a host
of friends that wish for them much
happiness in their future life,
Mr. and Mrs, Mosley were the
guests Chrigtmas Day of the
groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S.
Mosley, where they received the
congratulations of their many
friends,
Mr. and Mrs. Grover Andrews and
children, of Rome, Ga., visited mr.
S. B. Smith Caristmas wzek., Mr.
and Mrs. Andrews came with tae
body of Mr. Andrews’ brother, who
was Killed in an automobile acei
dent in Rome,
Mr. John Strickland and Miss Ka
tie Westmoreland spent the week
end as the guests of Mrs. Susie‘
Brown and family, of Smyrna,
Miss Mamie Stegall, of Atlanta,
spent the hol¥days wita Miss Bethie
Pair, Miss Stegall was one of us
during her childhood, and has many
friends here that are always glad
to sce her. i
Soma of us thought the Ku-Klux
band had come among us Christmas
Day, a number of young people,
dressed in the many colors of the
rainbow, soma of the boys with
dresses like the latest style, only a
little more so, were out having a
jolly time. There was no rowdy
ness. Just having innocent fun,
Mr. Baker, of Rome, Ga., npag
bought the home ot Mr. C. D. Gor
mon, on the Powder Springs road,
Mr. Baker comes highly recommen i
ed in religious and social life. We
extend to him a nearty welcome,
Mr. Grover (. Moore, of Atlanta,
spent Sunday with Mr. 0. L. Moore
and family.
Mr. and Mrs. E. R, Perkerson
and children, Mr. J. D. Perkerson
and Miss Lilla Perkerson went over
to Atlanta Saturday, making the
trip in their car. They reportad
the roads almost impassable.
