STATE OF GEORGTA, Cobb County.
Under and by wvirtue of a power
of sale contained in a certain war
ranty deed with power of sale to
secure a loan from Gracie Lou Jack
son to T. J. Jackson, dated 26th
day of October, 1915, and recorded
October 26tn, 1915, in deed book
54, page 222 and 223, of tne deed
records of Cobb County, Georgia,
which warranty deed with power of
sale to secure debt was made to
secure tpo promidgsory notes, one
bearing date of Marietta, Georgia,
Octoher 26th, 1915, for Two Thou
sand Dollars, due twelve months af
ter date, with interest from date
at tne rate of eight per cent per
annum, said note maturing October
26th, 1916, and one note for $2,-
127.00, dated Marietta, Georgia, Oc
tober 26th, 1915, due six months
after date, bearing interest from
date at the raté of eight per cent
per annum, said note maturing Ap
ril 26th, 1916, the interest on each
note becoming due on tne 26th day
of April, 1916, and semi-annually
thereafter, interest from that dateif
not paid to draw interest at eight
per cent per annum until paid, and
the said Gracie L.ou Jackson having
defaulted in the payments of said
notes and the interest payments of
same, the undersigned, T. J. Jack
son, will sell at public outery be
fore the Courthouse door in the city
of Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia,
witnin the legal hours of sale, on
the first Tuesday in February, 1917,
to the highest and best bidder for
cash, the following described pro
perty, to-wit: :
Tract No. 1-——A certain house and
lot in the city ot Marietta, .Cobb
County, Georgia, fronting on the
South side of Rosweli Street 200
feet, the beginning point on Ros
well Street being on the line be
tween this property and tract No.
2, hereinafter described, thence
running west along said street 200
feet to property formerly owued by
J. D. Malone; thence runn.ng in a
southerly directpon along a fence
and a fence row to property of A.
S. Clay; thence east along tne north
line of said Clay’s property to the
property formerly owned by J. S.
Jaekson; thence north along the
west line of said property formerly
owned by J. S. Jackson to begin
ning point on Roswell street, con
taining taree (3) acres, more or
less, and being the present home
place of the same Mrs. Gracie Lou
Jackson.

Roswell Street at the northeast cor
ner of tract No. 1, ana ‘running
thence east along the south side
of Roswell Street 390 feet, more
or less, to the northwest corner of
lot now owned by J. M. Gann,
thence running south along pro
perty of Mr. 4. M, GLGaan, 1. A
Reed and J. 4. Black for a dis
tance of 910 feet to the property
of Geo. F. Gober, thence west along
Gober’s property for a distance of
390 feet, more or less, to tract No.
1 above desecribed, tiience north
along the line of said tract for a dis
tance of 910 feet to the point of
beginning on Roswell Street.
Said sale to be madz for the pur
pose of paying the amounts due on
said two promissory notes, the prin
cipal on both notes amounting to
$4,127.00, the interest to date a
mounting to $396.81, togetli®r with
all costs, as provided for under said
warranty deed with power of sale
to secure debt from Gracie Lou
Jackson to T. J. Jackson.
A conveyance will be made to tue
purchasers at said sale by the un
dersigned, T. J. Jackson, in terms
of said warranty deed with power
of sale to secure debt.
