To be entitled an Act to amend *“‘an Aet to authorizet'the Mayor and Council of the City of Marjetta in the County of Cobb, to have held an election by the qualified voters of said city, to determine whether or not. bonds shall be issued by said City of Marietta to be sold for the purpose of purchasing, establishing, maintaining and acquiring a system of waterworks in said City of Mariet ta, and to authorize the issuance of said bonds and assessing and colect ing a tax on all property both real and personal, in said City of Mari etta, for the purpose of payTng in terest on said bonds, as well as the principal thereof, and for the pur pose of creating the Board of Water and Lights arld making them a body corporate, and defining their powers and duties, and for other purposes” approved August 20, 1906, so as to strike from said original Act the pro vision therein that the Mayor of the City and the Chairman of the Com mittee of water and lights from the. Council shall beEx-Officio members of said Board of Lights and Water works, and by providing that said Board shall consist of five members, to be elected by the Mayor and coun cil of said City; to fix the terms of the members of said Board and times of their elections, the filling of va cancies in said Board and for other purposes. . - SHERIFF'S SALES FOR AUGUST: GEORGIA, COBB COUNTY.
