A HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Last Friday was Ida Roberts’ 10th
birthday and was celebrated with a
party to sec the Mother Goose picture
at the Strand. 'Mms. Roberts chaper
oned the children and gave them pop
corn and peanuts to muneh while
they watched the beautiful fairies
and exciting scenes in Contrary Ma
ry’'s garden, and the big goose ac
tually flying through the clouds with
the old lady on her neek and a party
of children on her back! My! but
what immense wings that goose did
have and how solemn she looked! One
of the fairies was a dainty little girl
with scant clothes and bare feet while
the other was very dressed up with
'many skirts, butterfly wings and
high-heeled shoes. This is the latest
style in fairies but the old timey ones
are so much dearer. After seeing
the pictures the children went to the
ice cream parlor in the Sams Drug
Store and enjoyed white ice cream
and chocolate candy.
