his efforts to cut the captain and

gine house, not being overpowerel
by the other firemen because they

New York —Joseph Albers, a mem
ber of Frank Tannenbaum’s Industrial
Workers of the World army which
Stormed New York churches, waa sen
tenced today to serve thirty days In
jail. He was convicted of disorderly
conduct and broach of peace. Nearly
200 other cases remained to be dispos
ed of.
The sentence was imposed by Magis
trate Campbell after Albers’ attorney
had declared that no testimony had
been given which proved that tho de
fendant had In any way been guilty of
disorderly conduct.. He contended that
bis client bull, on the other hand, tried

made Wednesday night, but had been
forcibly detained. Tannenbauin was
released last night under $7,500 ball
