Mayor 1., <\ Hayne has appointed a special committee composed of mem - bei* of city council and physicians on tlie removal of the City Hospital ami Medical College. Those named were Mr. R. E. Allen, councilman from the Second ward, chairman, and Messrs. T. W, Pitcher. Alfred Cuthbert, T S Haworth and T. F, Harrison, from council FYom the physicians of the city the following additional members of the committee were selected: Dr*. W, It. Doughty, Thos. 1C Wright. K E Murphey. J M Caldwell, II M. The entire committee will have charge of everything pertaining to the removal of the city hospital* to the magnificent new building* that have been erected <>n the orphan asylum site.
