First National Bank Cashier of Waynesboro to Face Fed eral Charge Here cn 21st. Owing to the inability of the gov crument to have all of its witneaaea lore tomorrow, the. <u*»* of the United States vs. Thomas F Buxton, of Way nesboro, former cashier of the First National Bank there, charged with embezzling and mi.sui plying $7,000 of the funds of the hank, has been post poned until Tuesday, July 21st, at 12 o'clock, noon. The preliminary hear ing in the matter was scheduled to come up here tomorrow morning be fore United .States Commissioner C. J. Hklnner, Jr. It is understood that the govern ment will use at hast ten witnesses at the preliminary trial, who will come from Savannah and Waynesboro and possibly other places. ft will he recalled that the arrest of Mr. Buxton several days ago by Dep uty U. H. Marshal Pierce of tills city created not a little stir in the little town of Waynesboro, ids home. Mr. Buxton 1h not only one of the best known citizens of Waynesboro, but is well known throughout this part of the state. Ifn comes from one of the oldets families of Burke county.
