The Austrian steamer Ida 3700 tons, which sailed from Tries te and Naples before war was declared reached here last night and was taken over by the marine department at Quebec today as a war prize. Haptain Martlntollch hod heard nothing of the war and was astounded when marine department officials no tified him of the seizure of his ves sel. The work will be done by private contractors. All of the lighthouses will be on the Pacific coast and will be a distinct aid to the navigation of these waters, especially to the small coast traders that make the Port of Panama their home port.
