With that hew stranded in /ns'rVia. and a few in England and INTERNATIONAL SPORT EXPOSITION; OLYMPIC Berlin.—An international sport ex position in connection with the Olym pic games of 1916 is assured, the committee in charge of the games having decided to carry out the sug gestion to this end which was made at Stockholm two years ago. The necessary ground for the exposition has been placed at the committee’s disposal. It adjoins the new stadium. Sporting apparatus, outfits, physical vulture appliances—in short, every thing connected with the develop ment of the body will be represented. One the main features will be ex hibits showing the contrasting meth ods of physical culture of various countries. It is said that Bombardier Wells re ceives $125.00 a week; and that Sid Smith, the former flyweight champion, draws $36.00 a week, while Bill Beyorn who figured as a champion for a short time, gets SBO.OO a week. He wits so nearly success ful in his last efforts to have a boxing bill passed at Springfield that he believes success is assured next time. It Is proposed that the fate of boxing should not be entrusted to politicians this time. An educational campaign Is to be waged, and the voters of Illinois are to be taught the beauties and ad vantages of boxing ns a sport, a fins art, and a hygienic necessity. fThe bill calls for strict rules, no decisions, and close supervision by state and munici pal authorities. The Knock-Out. Jimmy Clabby. the other day com pleted his Australian contract with "Snowy" Baker, and it was quite a pvrotechnical farewell. Clabby took less one minute to knock Dave Smith from his senses, and by the victory the Am erican acquired no less than three titles —middleweight, light heavy and heavy weight champion of Australia.
