Manager Lout Castro of the Augusta team was pain fully spiked in the left leg by Man ager Johnnie Dobbs, of the Chatta nooga lookouts Castro covered the bag to take Hohnhorst's throw of Dobbs' bunt, and the t.wo came to gether when Dobbs slid at full speed Castro was taken to the club house, where Dr. Gentry, the team physician attended him. and later he returned to the hotel In gn automobile. He avows that he will be in the game Monday at Augusta, but Dr. Gentry thinks he ought to rest a week. Five stitches were taken in the gash, which is well up in the fleshy portion of the calf. Carson is at the helm while Castro Is "hors du combat." In Third Inning, With Bases Full, Meek Drove Homer Over Right Field Fence. ,Castro was Spiked —Hohnhorst Got Three Hits. y CHATTANOOGA.—With the bases full in the third inning of Friday’s game with the Augusta Tourists, Catcher Henry Meek drove a horns run over right field fence, and vic tory was cinched for the Lookouts. The final count was 7 to 2 In their favor. Johnnie Dobbs, running to first on a bunt, slid into Castro, who covered the bag, and the spikes brought blood. Count Louis was carried to the club house, where the team physician found it necessary to take five stitch es in his leg. He will probably be out of the game at least ten days. Both teams scored in the first in ning, and in the second the Lookouts were only held back hy superb field ing. Alcock led off with a single, Wilkes fanned and Alcock stole sec ond. Carson threw wild to catch him and he went on to third. Brooks then drove a red-hot grounder to Hohn horst, who fielded Just in time to catch Alcock at the plate, and when Brooks tried to steal second Carson shot him down. The Lookouts came back in the fourth inning with another run, but after that the Tourists held them down. In the seventh inning the sec ond Augusta run was scored by Hohn horst, on a single an error and Car son’s double. Hannifan played right field for the visitors and Smith took the bench. When Castro was disabled Carson went to second and Smith donned >he mask. Pitcher Pearce was ineffective to stop the landslide of Lookout hits.
