CHARLIE TAFT AS A
DEAR LITTLE GIRL.
And now, after dear little Charlie
Taft has made all the Augusta girls
and women love him on account of
his lovable boyishness, he has turned
his attention to making the women
fall in love with him as a girl, and
has demonstrated how easy a thing it
would be for him to make them love
him had be been born a girl. Re
cently in Waterbury, Conn., “The Pri
vate Secretary” was played by the
Taft Dramatic association, Charlie
taking the part of "Eva Webster and
cornering the laurels of the large au
dience by the ease with which he por
trayed his part despite the fact that,
the part was a little too old for him
to handle. Those who saw him say
that he played with an earnestness
that made one imagine that his entire
college course depended on his suc
cess. No one enjoyed the raillery
he go than this scion of the house
of Taft, and at the end no one had ac
cumulated more rich experience and
good laurels.
