AT THE GRAND.
E/y Show This Week.
A few h ika ago the question waa
being a-iked by thousand* of the
vaudeville patrons o( tie- Grand,
"Mow can they do it?” It seem* lin
posHible to furnikb a high clans of
acts, and the excellent moving pic

with the other expenses attached to
running l be holme, hut It was done.
The people came, saw and were con

next?" and this question Ih a per
fectly proper one, and 1* called for
by lhe reason that every week sees
a vatu Improvement In the bills
placed on the program. During the
week Jijhi passed one. of the very
best vaudeville shows which nas ever
been Been In Augusta was given, and
It was thought that the limit had
been reached, hut a glance over some
of the announced numbers for the
coming week will show that the limit
Is not yet even In sight. Some of
the head lines for the week starling
tomorrow and a short review of each
act is as follows:
Knox & Alvin.
flood travesty is never bad, arid
poor travesty Is passable, in fact,
travesty of any hind Is amusing and
entertaining, and it is pretty hard to
present It so badly that It Is not go >d.
But when travesty Is presented by
actors who are thorough masters of
their aet, It lx cotni . (.tie of the most
interesting, entertaining and amusing
of all dramatic productions. Knox
and Alvin, who come to the Grand
this week, are travesty artists, pure •
and simple- made a particular study
of that line of the dramatic profos
sii.it and the result Is that their num
ber aiways receives a most liberal
amount of applause
Howard & Whiting.
"A Typical Rounder" as presented
by Howard and Whiting Is a laugh
able piece of comedy and at the same
time a bit of pathos Is so Interwoven
so to make of their act a little seri.
comedy drama that is most entertain
ing. Howard and Whiting come to
ibis theatre with an abundance of
complimentary press notices backing
them, in New Orleans they were
the big feature act at the Winter
Garden; at Chattanooga, Atlanta and
other places they have been the fa
vored number on the programs and
on every occasion they have more
lhim phased their audiences as well
as the managers. That is as much
as can be said in favor of any vaude
ville team.
Juggling Matheul*.
The mysterious and unexplainable
always serve to attract the attention
of humanity, no matter how little
time It hns to devote to anything
else Juggling and gllght-fo-haud

Hal, when he called his men of mys

previous, lo give him and appetite;
following, to save him from Indiges

lover of pleasure and partook to the
fullest extent In juggling, the Jug

week, Juggling In all its mystery and
eye deceiving splendor will he pre

most noted jugglers and many which
have been originated by the Matheul*

prove a mighty strong vehicle for en

The Levollos.
Daring stunts, whether performed
