The marriage of Miss Tanner and Mr. Barrow, of Sandersville, last, evening, was the culmination of a romance begun some time ago and which had been beset by obstacles for the past few days which made the young couple think that (here was truth In the old saying that "The course of true love never did run smooth.” The young bride and groom first wanted to he married in Louis ville, Ga„ hut on account of par ental objection could not secure a license. They next attempted Wrens, (la., and while en route there their team broke down and they were de layed. Upon arriving at Wrens they were again frustrated In Ihelr ot tempt. They then came on to Au gusta, where the ceremony was per formed last night. They returned to Augusta and this morning left for Kandersville, where they will make their homo. Inman entertained today at a beautiful little luncteon at tier home In honor of Miss Martha Berry of Rome, who is spending a few days with Mrs. M. V. Eagan. The long library and the sun parlor with their handsome palms and ferns were bright with flowers and log fires added to the warmth and beauty. Mrs. Inman received her guests wear ing a gown of wistaria crepe meteor embroidered in shades of wistaria and combined with lace. H M. HOWARD DIED EABLYJUESDAY Beloved Christian Lady Passed Away At Home of Her Son-in-Law, Mr. W. S. Burton, Mrs. Hattie M. Howard died Tues day at the residence of her son-in law, Mr. W. S. Burton, 452 Telfair street. Death occurred at 2:15 a. m. Mrs. Howard, who is the widow of the late George Howard, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. S.
