Last Monday it was our pleas ‘ure to visit the new enterprise of W. G. Weatherly & Son, about two and a half miles above Buch anan on the C. R. &C. road. Up on our arrival we found all hands as busy as could be, and every thing denoted push and prosperi ty. These gentlemen have one of the best saw mills in the county, and it was interesting to watch the rapidity with which the huge logs were converted into lumber. Then we passed around to the planer, where the Ilumber was quickly dressed. After it was dressed, it was sawed into certain lengths for boxes, which were be ing rapidly constructed. We then passed up stairs into the ginnery, where one of the best Winship gins was at work to perfection.— The lint came from the gin in one continuous sheet, looking al most as if it had been already converted into cloth. All this work was going on at once, and all run by machinery, except the putting together of the boxes. Just think of it, a saw mill, a planing mill, a lathe mill, a box factory, and a ginnery, all lrunning at one time under the ‘same roof, and all managed by one } firm. It looks like business, and it is business. Messrs. W. G. ;\Veath'erly & Son are men of push and good business judgment, and ‘their enterprises are all paying. They have a large number of skilled workmen, who are faith ful and attentive to business. One man, Mr. George Lawson, has been with them for twenty years. We are glad to welcome such men and such enterprises into our county, and wish them that pros perity which they deserve. That Little Tickling in your thtoat, which makes you cough once in a while and keeps you constantly clearing your throat, arises from catarrh, and as catarrh is a constitutional disease the ordinary cough medicines all fail to hit the spot. What you need is a constitutional remedy like Hood’s Sarsaparilla. Many people who have taken this med icine for scrofula, dyspepsia, loss of appetite, and other troubles, have been surprised that it should cure this troublesome cough. But to know the actual cause of the congh is to solve the mystery. Many cases of consumption can be traced back to the neglect of some such slight affection as this. Con samption can be controlled in its early stages, and the effect of Hood’s Sarsaparilla in purifying the blood, building up the gen eral health, and expelling the scrofulous taint which is the canse of catarrh and consumption, has restored to perfect health many persons on whom this dreaded dis ease seemed to have a firm hold. The vrepublican officials in Washington must feel great con tempt for the democratic official who stole S4OO in postage stamps. A republican who would take so small amount would be read out of the party. CANCER OF THE NOSE. “My father had cancer and my husband died of cancer. In 1875 a lump appeared on my nose, and from its appearance and rapid growth, I became alarmed with idea that I, too, had cancer. I consulted my physician about it, and he gave me an ointment to put on it, when this did not re lieve me, he then burnt it out, but the place would mnot heal. It gradually grew longer and worse, and I had fully made my mind up that I must also die of cancer.— Friends prevailed on me to try Swift’s Specific (S. S. 8.) This I finally consented to do. After taking a few bottles I was entire ly cured. Swift’s Specific (S. 8. S.) cured me when the doctors and all other medicines failed.” Mgs. M. T. MaßeN, ! Woodbury, Hall County, Texas. FOUR YEARS ON CRUTCHES. For 15 years I was afflicted with rheumatism, four years of which I was compelled to go on crutches. Words are inadequate to express the suffering I endured during that time. During these fifteen years of existence (it was not liv ing), I tried every known remedy without receiving any benefit. I finally began on Swift's Specific (S. 8. 8.), avhich from the first gave me relief, and to-day I am enjoying the best of health, \and am a well man. I candidly be lieve that S. 8. 8. is the best blood purifier on the market to-day. J. D. TAYLOR, | Cuba, Mo. Treatise on Blood and Skin Dis eases mailed free. \ (S}WIFT SPECIFIC CO., Atlanta, .
