ASSOCTA~ v wTOON: The third quarterly meeting of this association met at Bremen, June 28th, 10 a. m. Sy President Jeter called the nicet ing to order, after which the fol lowing programme and services were had: : The secretary being absent A. L. Newman was elected protem, A verbal report of the last meeting was called for, which was given by C. W. Parker. Delegates from ‘the Sunduy schools reperesented were called and the following schools were heard from: Beach ereek, Buchanan, Bremen M. E. and M. P. South; District | Line, Felton. Waco, M. P. and M. E. South; Sylvesta, Pleasant Hill and Tallapoosa. ; The report from the above nam-, ed schools were very interesting and it showed that there is as much or more interest taken in this good work *han at any other time dnring the past year. The workers were made glad indeed, in hearing those reports of so much good earnest work along their all important liné of churely work. The réports show that there is a larger number es children in the schools than at any other time in the past year. We think that ali the friends of this cause will join us in thanking our good Lord and Master for these facts, There being no report from the special committee or any unfinish ed business the officers gave in their reports which were very in teresting. In response to the call for new business thé following was dispensed with: * The constitution and by-laws were read by the President. A motion was made that the annual meeting be held at Buch anan, Wednesday before the 3rd Sunday in August. The motion was adopted—so the annual meet g will be held at Buchanan on the above named date. : ; The following named gentle men were appointed delegates to the district meeting to be held at Villa Rica: = Ci: W. Parker, T.. E, Kirkly,J. W. Sims. G. N. Doster, G. W. Gen try, W. F. Lasseter, A, D. Talley, F. C. Johnson, J. M. B. Carroll, G. M. Roberts, L. N. Holland and J. A. Goldin. The services of the Association were of the best type. We mean that there was a good feeling throughout the entire time. Many good workers were present and. gave us some exceedingly good admonitions and encouragements. Some of the brethren made men tion of the zealous class of work ers and the amount of missionary work done in the county. In coun nection with this thought I ish to say, brethren of the mmuch es teemed cause of the S. S. work in this county; look around you and behold the wants of some scctions in our county. Numbers of chil dren in this county have no Sun day school to attend. We. hear the Massedonian ery: ‘‘Come over and help us.”’ - Who will go into those plaegs of want and help those who call? May many be found that will go, and go imme diately. o i . . Respectfully, ; : L. D. Coaaln, .
