Been Reelected.

The Board Stands.
At 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon,
at the city ball the Rome school
board held a full and most
harmonious meeting, and by a
unanimous vote elected all the
teachers of last year for the ensu
ing year.
Superintendent J. C. Harris was
reelected and his salary increased
from fl 600 per year to 1,800
The board being wise in this day
and school generation rec ognized
how essential were the the services
of Supt. Harris and fastened him
for another year.
The tame spirit prompted the
reelection of Principal Montague
Gam mon and a S2OO increase
in bis sal ry. Mr. Gammon will
continue as the principal of the
white schools at a salary of 1,200
per vear year. The teachers will
continue next ye«.r at the same
salary of last’year. The teachers
are.

his services.

that it was the sense of the board

funds. Motion: passed.

was the most harmonious ever
held by a school hoard ir. this
city at an election of teachers.
