Adams Died Sudden ly Yesterday About 6 o’clock, yesterday morn ing, Mrs. Julia A. Adams, died very suddenly at the home of her grandson Hon." L. A. Dean, in the suburbs of the city. Mrs. Adam was over 80 years ot age at the time of her death, a re markably active woman for he'r age. She was the widow of Elijah C. Adams, who died just four years ago. As Miss Julia A. Thompson of Hall county, this state she mar ried Mr. Adams about <4 years ago. The youthful couple finally Set tled on the Adams place, midway between Holland’s and Price’s Bridge, in Chattooga county where they lived happily for more than forty years. Mr. and Mrs. Adams had but one child, a daughter, the sainted mother of Messrs Linton, Abb and Edward Dean, of Rome. Prior to the death of Mr. Adams,, he and his wife celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of their wedding day. Mrs. Adams was a member of the oldest and formost families in the .state, having a host of rela'ivas in Hall county, among them So licitor General Howard Thompson and t’ae wife of United States Marshal of Georgia, Sam Dunlap, lathis city the Deans are her grand children, while the wives of Messrs. J.. P. M. and D. \V. Byrd, are daughters of a sister while Mrs. A. R. Harbour and Mrs. W. A. Thompson are daughters of a brother. The funeral ceremony was con ducted this morning by Dr. R. B H* adden of the First Bi p s. church beginning at 11 o’clock at the bite residence, Col. L. A. Dean’s home and continued and concluded at Pisgah church at Coosaville where the interment occurred this after noon. The funeral was very largely at tended by her friends and friends I of the family from Rome. Ripe in 1 years, rich in good deeds Julia A. I Adams has crossed the river and her saintly soul has gone to its) reward, join'ng the many who have' gone before. I I Not a few who read what Mr. . Robt. Mrs. Powell was in her 89th year, and after a long and useful life, spent in the service of God and her family and friends, she ha? at last fallen to sleep.
