Pa., July 2.—William Hepner, proprietor of the Cen tralia House, who was shot by “Cowboy” Kerrigan six weeks ago, died from the effects . of the 'Wound yesterday afternoon. Haneock, Md., July 2.—The bridge at the West end of the town gave way yesterday while a wagon, loaded with bark, was crossing. William Beard, Jr., was killed, and Charles Grove, the driver cf the wagon, was seriously injured, while the vehicle was de molished, the horses escaping un hurt. PRIZE FIGHT FOR A GIRL. St. Paul. Minn.. July 2.—Sixty people witnessed a tight yesterday between Earnice French and ill Hoepgner, prominent young men of Eau Claire. They are in love with the same girl, and they fought for her hand at Wheat Mill, Chippewa. John McCullough, a Clayton Connty (Ga.) farmer, has been arrested, charged with murdering his wife to get 12,000 insurance. The motion for a new trial for Alonzo Walling, convicted of complicity in the murder of Pearl Bryan, was overruled yesterday. While making a balloon ascen sion at Grand Rapids, Mich., An drew Cole was blown against the corner of a house, threwn from his trapese and killed. Pat Kinney shot and killed Policeman Frank Bish at Colorado Springs, Col., and whrn closely pursued put a bullet into his own head, dying instantly. John L. Dube, a grandson of one of the leading chiefs under Chalso, the great Zulu leader, Das arrived in New York to complete his theol- gieal studies.
