At All Druggist, 25c. a Bottle. a Break In Pennsylvania, New York, July 2.—-A specia from Washington to the New Ycrk World says: “At the head quarters of the democratic con gressional committee it is admit ted that at least seven of the dem ocratic delegates from Minnesota to the Chicago convention will be for silver, and that there will be a break in the supposedly solid gold ranks of the Pennsylvania delega tion. “It is said that fourteen to eight teen of the delegates from Mr Harrity’s stat will vote fora silver platform and a silver candidate. “ ‘lt looks as though the silver men would have a two-thirds ma jority in the convention.’ said Mr. Lawrence Gardner, the secretary of the committee, today.’’ Silver Men Won't Be Absorbed. St. Louis, Mo., July 2. —Dr. J. J. Mott, chairman of the execu tive committee of thejatiou al sil ver party, gives out th it the dele gates to that party’s convention do not intend holding an hour hurrah session and then marching en masse into the ranks of the populists. The two national conventions convenes here 22d. It has been confidently expected and asserted by some populist leaders that such a move on the part of the sil ver party has beeh determined upon. Chairman Mott says that his people are not to be swallowed, absorbed or diso’ganixed. “We intend to maintain our party organization,” said Chair man Mott, ‘and do not contem plate for a moment the execution of the plan outline.” A Classing of Subjects Warm Springs, July 2.—‘■Colo nel N. J. Hammond found him self in a rather awkward position today. Sometime ago he was in vited to read a paper before this meeting of the association . He ac cepted, and selected as his subject “Georgia in the Supreme Court of the United States.” He prepared with his usual care a very able pa per on that subject; a paper that would have graced the records of the association, but discovered on the eve of leaving Atlanta that Major Park, president of the as sociation, had prepared his address trem the very same subject. Colonel Hammond did not have the rime to rewrite hi - address and as there were the same cases to be touched upon there was nothing for him to do but to touch on the same cases in a eifferent light ircm thatin which they were view-; ed by Major Park.
