Mr. Black, burn’s brother asked Mr. Atkin son to appoint him solicitor of the city court of Atlanta and the gov ernor appointed some one else. And this is why Seab’s name is Dennis. * * * I am informed that Hon. Seab orn Wright, while in the city last Saturday interviewed the two wit- who furnished me data on the 100 empty whiskey botile trans action. Mr. Wright left on Mon day, and notwithstanding the fact that he has i ever been backward about “rushing into print,” why he has, todate, published no deni al of the transaction. * * * Another thing I want to cal ! the public attention to is the fact that it "as because of a message wired to friends in this city, requesting something of the kind, that Mr. Wright’s “certificate of charac er” as a “consistent” prohibitionist was drawn up and attested to by Romans. I don’t believe Mr. Wright will deny this statement any more than he has other charg es made in these columns. At the same time John Chamlee’s state ment about Seab tryiug to rent him a vacant store on Bioad St., and his plan to help Mr. Chamlee “straddle” through and run two “recruiting stations of hell” un der one license from the city also stands undenied. * i i * * And this, too, after Mr. Wright and Mr Chamlee have met and talked over other business matters The fact is, as I understand it, llfc.t Mr. Wright did not eve.' al ludy to the above mentioned arti cle. * * * lam informed that Mr. Wright proposes to speak in every district of Floyd county before the elec tion . The hoppy woman was Miss Sn.ll le Doolv, until she became the fair bride of Mr. Seaborn Norton. * * * Deputy Sheriff J. K. William son, ever on the alert to lend as sistence, hunted up Dr. Bruce Har ris, who performed the ceremony in a most graceful manner. The bridesmaids were J. Dallas Turn" er and John I). Moore whi'e Wal ter Harper acted as flower girl. The bi ide was not kissed—while I was present —’hough I pleased her by calling her Mrs. Norton, first. The records at the court house show that Seaborn and W. A. Wright own a brick building uh Fifth avenue in which a barroom is in active operation. The court records of Floyd show that when he was cterk f >r the board of com missioners of that county, hie work wps so loosely conducted and the records kept bo unintelligibly as to call for the criticism and condem nation of the grand jury. The cen sure was so severe that Seab re signed the place.
