If there is not a full democratic vine polled next week it will not be the fault of Chairman V’ J. Neel of the Congressional Execu tive Committee. He is bending every energy to give Bryan and Maddox an over whelming majority in the Seventh Di t ict On November. Mr. Neel is sending out a cir cular letter to the voters of the District appealing to them to work for Maddox and Bryan from now until the polls c ose on Novemb-r 3rd. The letter is ss follows. ■ Rome, Ga , Oct. 23, 1896. My Dear Sir: Only one week remains for active work before the November elec tion. Every vo er should be will ing to make some contribution ol time or effort, for the success of his party. This is a fight between, the masses and the money power. It is a contest for the financial independence of the United Sta ee. dr. Bryan is making a campaign that challenges the admiration of the world. The people hear him gladly and are everywhere flocking <•0 bis standard. His election is as gjred if the friends of free coinage will only stand united in his sup port. Judge Maddox, our nominee for Congress, is also doing valiant ser vice for the party. He is speaking every day and will continue to speak and work until the last vote is cast. The interests of Bryan and Maddox are the same. They stand on the same platform and are working to the same end. They have been tried and we know they can be trusted. We must have a President and a Congress in Sym pathy with each other. This ap peal is made direct to you for your help. We must, have your active sympathy and co-operation. We are fighting 'he aggregated money power of the word. The Republicans are believed to have the greatest corruption fund ever handled by a political party.in any campaign. You are not asked for money, but for just a little con tribution of time and effort. Talk to your neighbors and friends and use your best efforts to get them interested in this gieat contest. Urge them to go to the polls ,nd xnd’appeal to them to vote the stra ght ticket. If Bryan is worthy of support (and do man can deny it), sure y Maddox is equally so, for he and Bryan have stood together on the money question, and if elected, will work to accomplish the same end. Let us herd our energies from now until the campaign closes to roll up the greatest Democratic majority ever given in the Seventh District. Terrell, United states Minister to Turkey, said tha’ the relations of the United States with Turkey were of the most cordial character. Bous Under Falllna Walls Beaver Falls, Pa.. Oct 24. Mayor Brothers’ pottery was de stroyed by fire early this morning. The fire is thought to have been due to a gas explosion .
