I The Planue in India Bombay, Dec. 12 —The bubonic plague is spreading everywhere. On Tuesday there were 55 fresh cases and 37 deaths heie. Since the outbreak there have been 1,126 cases and 804 deaths. The mortali ty in this citv during the past week from all diseases was about 1.000, while the normal death rate is on ly about 200. Msrsnall, 111., Dec. 12. —John Anderson, who left here eight years ago and‘W is suppo.-e I to be dead, turned up here today and was re cognized bv many who had given him upas dead. He was raised at Au burn, thi* country, and has manv relatives living here, many of them being well connected. He gives as a reason for his st rang-* action some fancied domestic grievance. Killed hiS ASSailantS. Paris, Tex., Dec. 12 —Parties reaching here tonight bring news of a double killing that took place in Pontotoc county, Chickasaw Nation, last night. It seems that a man bad been running a whisky joint in an out-of-the-way place, known only to the initia ed. ID had been doing a good business fcr xome time and was about to close out and quit the country to evade the officers. Louis, Mo., Dec. 12.—A Southbound passenger train on the Iron Mountain road was attacked by robbers at Bates street, in the r ut’iprn suburbs of the city, at 9 :45 o’clock last night. As lhe train approached Bates street, a red light was shown. A sing'e shot was fired ut lhe eugi n er.
