At the N. C.& St. L., or Lome. Road building the O’Neill Mfg., Co., is pushing the work both on the passenger and fre’ght depots. Trammel & Broach are doing the pressed brick work of their livis, and doing it rapidly. The tracks, in fact the yaids are to be raised about three feel putting this property above high water. g public will find many conveniences at the new N. C. & St. L. depot that they were stiangers to under the “syca mores. ” Mr. Herman Goebler, the super visit g architect for the N. C. & St. L. left for Nashville, yesterday afternoon but will return in a day or two. C. R. & 8. DEPOT. The stone work on the C. R. & S. freight depot has been ab’Ut finished by contractor Gunn. The stone came from the Chicamauga quarries on the C. R. & S. line and the walls in the foundation ! are a monument to the quarries. I Contractor McDuffy has begun brick work on the walls, while a small army of men are employed laying platforms and filling in the grounds about the depot. Whin the C.
