scale Christmas sale. The A. B. C. is located at 125 W. Broad Street, in a two-story building
comprising 7060 square feet of floor space, all of which is crammed with specially selected home
furnishings for the Yuletide season. At present, the A. B. C. is offering, as a free gift, a giant
size table dressed turkey, with the purchase of every bedroom, livingroom, or dining room

MELODY NOTES
Yes 'Sir! The biggest stage show
ever to hit any Theatre stage
in Savannah opened last Saturday
at the Melody Theatre.
You have been told over and
over again about big stage shows
but not until you have seen Har
lem on Parade will you really
know the making of a great show
and al-1 of the entertainment that
goes with it.
Those of you that were in the
Melody Theatre last Saturday
really got a big kick out of the
performances produced by none
other than Duke Pilgrim who
has several acts that are now
on the screen.
On every Tuesday—Thursday
and Saturday Duke Pilgrim and
all of his hep-cats will give out
to you every thing there is to
give in the show field and he
will surely keep your feet pat
ting and your heart full with
joy. Mr. Pilgrim has promised
an entirely new show every week
HUB BACKING C.P.L.
Several months ago the Hub felt called upon to speak out
in a political campaign in the best interest of the Negro Citizens
of Chatham County. The coming city election is again an op
portunity for the Negro to exercise his new found right to the
ballot.
We must all cast our ballots according to the dictates of
our own conscience. We must vote irrespective of party or per
son. It is our obligation as a citizen.
In July the citizens here voted three legislative candidates
into office and a slate of members of the executive committee
of the Chatham County Democratic Party. It is our opinion
now that we can best serve our interest by supporting these
men and casting our ballots for the candidaes of the Citizens
Progressive League.
This is not meant as a political move, but is the result of o
panel discussion by the members of the Hub, which body au
thorized the publication of this statement with twenty for orc
two negative votes.

New Store Has Imposing Facade
with different acts so that no one
will become bored with the same
show every week.
It has bocome necessary for
the Management to return to his
old program of showing the week
end pictures for only two days
(Sunday and Monday) to give you
the opportunity of seeing this
great stage show. On Tuesdays
you will see another picture to
gether with Harlem on Parade
from the stage; ~ -
