Beth-Edenites turned out in
swell numbers last Sunday, both
at Sunday School and Worship
services.

Foreign Mission Secretary Rev.
John B. Falconer, brought us the
message. He was introduced by
acting pastor, Rev. J. W. Der

Rev. Falconer spoke from Ephe
tians 6:10. Finally,’my brethren,
be strong in the -Lord, and in the
power of His might.
Subject: “ Paul pleads for phy
fieal strength.”

Sunday night our supply pas
tor gave us a great message from
the subject, “The promised doom
on the shepherd who scattereth
God’s people.”
Rev. Falconer left by train to
Philadelphia for final arrange
ments to take his flight from New
York City by plane December 19th
for Liberia to carry on mission
work.

ceived the hearty ovations of their
audiences. At this season of the
year, the public is blessed to have
such a recital given. To miss
this would be robbery. The public
is invited to hear this csong fest.
Mrs. Freida Robinson will be the
accompanist. The officers and
members met the pastor on his
return from the recent Georgia
Annual Conference, held in Douf
las, Ga., with a rising vote of
appreciation and thanks to the
bishop and conference for the re
turn of the Rev. Bagby for anoth
er year. The audience shortly
after the Rev. Weston completed
his sermon.
All the members are ugred to
be present Sunday, the pastor will
deliver two sermons. Madam
Cargo’s Beauty Culture graduat
ing class will worship with Beth
el Sunday evening.

few days early because of the
Christmas holidays. All parents

cial Clubs Union- and the repre
sentatives of the Emancipation
Association Friday night, Decem
ber 13, 1946, at the eWst Broad
Street YMCA, 714 West Broad
St., at 8:00 P. M.
The purpose of the meeting will
be to complete plans for the cele
bration of Emancipation Day,
January 1, 1947.
