Home Demonstration
Club '
The Liberty City Home Demon
stration Club held its meeting De
cember 2 at the home of Mrs. Mol
lie Nelson, 1905 West 57th Street.
The president, Mrs. Gladys
Bazemore, presided at the well at
tended meeting. Final plans were
made for a contribution to Happy
House Day School and the Christ
mas party.
The Home Demonstrator, Mrs.
Doris Owes, gave some interesting
plans for the coming year on sew
ing, gardening, health, food and
landscaping. All members should
make it a must to attend the meet
ing and share in the plans.

Teacher Association ended its
Mother’s Contest with a corona
tion on Tuesday evening, December
3, 1963. Presiding for this lovely
affair was Miss Annie Howell.
The occasion was given by Miss
Geraldine Spaulding, dedicated to
the mothers. Mrs. Virginia Sut
ton rendered a solo, “You’re My
Everything.”
As Mrs. Josie Winbush pre
sented each class mother, the 30
beautifully attired ladies walked
to the stage to await the big mo
ment for the announcing of Mrs.
PTA, 1963-64. Three stately deco
rated chairs adorned the stage
waiting to be occupied by the
Queen and her attendants.
Mrs. Rebecca Jackson, class
mother for Mrs. Ruth Morgan’s
sixth grade, was crowned Mrs. F.

parents and teachers for a contest
well accomplished.

nation, a social hour followed.
