ADDRBS3 TO THE MARRIED !
Dr. Larzetti’s Judo Cordial, or Procrea
tive Elixir.
f 14HIS is the only actual remedy ever discover
-1- ed for Impotency, Genital Debility, Noctur I
ua! Emission, and all diseases occasioned by cer
tain secret habits; and many of the nostrums re
cently recommended for the same complaints are
worthless imitations which its unrivalled excel
lence, fame and popularity have brought into the
market. The Medical Faculty of Europe and the j
United States are unanimous in their recommen
dations ot the Juuo Cordial, and have not given
their sanction in a single instance that has been ’
authenticated, to any compound for the same pur- j
noses. The nature of the maladies relieved by the
Juuo Cordial are generally such as toleavethe
publication of certificates of cares out of the ques- I
lion, or the proprietor could produce a host of the
most conclusive testimony to shew that the great
reputation that it enjoys was not accidently ob
tained, but is firmly based upon Us positive and ap- |
pareutly miraculous virtues. In all directions are
to fie found the happy parents of healthy offspring,
who would not hare been so but for this extra
ordinary preparation. And it is equally potent in
the many diseases for which it is recommended.
Objection has been naturally made to the price of
the Juuo Cot dial, because the trash that has been
thrown into the market in opposition to it is sold j
cheaper; but the tact is, the Cordial cannot be j
afforded for less, and ought to be much dearer, as
many of the ingredients which compose it are a
mong the costliest things in nature ; whereas, the
others arc made up of cheap drugs, worth but lit
tie in money, and less in merit. We assure ihe
reader that the utmost reliance may be placed on
the Juuo Cordial in the cure of the maladies men
tioned above, and also, of those which follow, viz i |
Loss of Muscular Energy, Physical Lassitude and
Cieneral Prostration. Irritability, and all Nervous
Affections, Indigestion,Sluggishness of the Liver, I
Gleet, or Lucorrhcea or Whites, and Flour Albus, j
and every disease in any way connected with the
iisorder of the Procreative Functions—in all of
which it will afford almost immediate relief , and it j
used as directed, is almost certain to produce a
positive and permanent cure. Persons about to
marry, if conscious of any weakness or disability |
of a certain nature, should take the Cordial, as it i
will infallibly restore health and vigor in a briel
period, and where want of offspring is a cause of
regret, if recourse be had to it. the most beneficial
results may be anticipated with confidence. It is
vs priceless value to thosp without offspring. It
has taken the precedence in Italy, and will in all
it her countries where it may become known.
it also possesses the unrivalled qualities of cur- '
ing incipient Consumption, and 1 have administer j
ed it with great success to patients who have
sought our delightful climates for the restoration ot !
their health, and the result is that a medicine lias
been added to the catalogue for the cured iacip- j

ISAAC BROOKS’, JR., CASE!
do ami see him and you will say the half has not been
told! !!
We the undersigned having visited Mr. Issae
Brooks, Jr., at the office of Messrs. Rowand Ac
Walton, 373 Market street, Philadelphia, consider
his case the most remarkable one we have ever
witnessed or heard of.
His disease was Scrofula, and terrible must have
been his twelve years’ conflict with the destroyer!
His Palate, the entire roof of his Month,Nose,Upper
Lip, and lower lid of the Eye have been destroy
ed, his Face nearly eaten up, and part of the Jaw
Bone carried away. And yet we can give no de
scription of his case.
Mr. B. informs us that in January last, the whole
interior of his mouth, as well as most of his face,
was a mass of deep and painful ulcers.
On the 14tb of January last, he commenced ta
king Dr. Cullen’s Indian Vegetable Panacea, which
checked the disease in a few days, and from that
time the cure has progressed without intermission.
New flesh has supplied the place of the deep ul
cers, and though badly disfigured, his face is sound
and his general health is restored.
We are assured that in the treatment of Mr.
Brooks’case no Mercurials, Ointments, or Caustic
applications have been used, —in fact, the Panacea
alone, has wrought this wonderful change.

A CERTAIN CURE FOR THE PILES.
Dr. Cullen's Indian Vegetable Piles Remedy,
Is a domestic preparation, which has been used
with entire success for many years. Being an in

outward applications, which are but paliatives and
not curatives. This medicine acts upon the dis
eased parts, producing healthy action, and a per
manent cure, which wc warrant, or refund the mo
ney.

TO THE AFFLICTED.
HAVE yon a cough, cold, or the consumption?
It you have, try Dr. Hastings, Compound
Syrup ol Naphtha. 'Lhis medicine is the discove
ry of the celebrated t)r. Hastings, .Senior Physi
cian to the Blenheim Free Dispensary of London.
Dr Hastings had his early attention drawn to the
consideration of the causes of, and the cure for
consumption, and after numerous experiments, and
long years of patient and laborious study, discov
ered that Wood Naphtha compounded with other
vegetable substances, was a certain and speedy
cure for consumption, and all diseases of the lungs.
The Naphtha being of a very volatile nature, im
mediately rises to the lungs, the seat of the dis
ease, and attacking it in its stronghold, destroys all
tubercles that have formed upon the lungs, and
prevents the formation of others. For coughs and
colds it is an invaluable remedy, curing the most
severe in an incredible short space of time. A
single bottle will prove the virtue of this remedy,
in fact, a single dose will effect an almost instanta
neous relief.
Hastings’ Compound Syrup of Naphtha
is now being used in nearly all our hospitals, and
is also coming into rapid use among all our best
physicians, tor coughs, colds, and all diseases ol
the lungs. It has been recommended in the worst
stale ot consumption by the celebrated physician.
Dr. Mott, of New Y'ork ; and Dr. Arnold, of Sa
vannah, Geo., writing to the agent at Now Y'ork,
under date <*f Jan, 3Uth, 1848, says —“ I received
the halt-dozen Hastings’Naphtha Syrup, ordered
from you, and am convinced that Naphtha is the
principal ingredient. Enclosed is twenty-five dol
lars, ior which you will send me two dozen and-a
hall bottles more, i have two patients in the Ma
rine Hospital, whom 1 think will be benelitted by
it.”
Dr. Lenoir ©1 Lenoir’s Landing, Ten*., writes
as follows —•' I procured some of Dr. Hastings’
Naphtha Syrup from Philadelphia, and enclosed
scud you ten dollars for one dozen more bottles. 1
consider it a very valuable medicine for ail dis
eases of the lungs.”
Savannah, Feb. 9th, 1848.
Mr. M. A. F. Harrison
Dear Bir the suggestion of Dr. Arnold, the
Physician of VR Hospital of which I am one ot
the* directors, I would like to supply myself with
Hastings’ Wood Naphtha. The Doctor ordered,

“THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE.’*
Take the language of Scripture, and the language of
reason. From the blood is built up. particle by particle,
the entire human body. Its bones and muscles and del
icate tissues are all the results of the gradual deposite of
minute particles, which are taken up by the various or
gans throughout the system. As the w ood of the tree
grows, year by year, from the deposite of ligneous sub
stances from the sap which circulates through its capil
lary vessels, so does the organized living human body
grow, and supply its natural waste from the materials
supplied by the blood alone; for the blood contains all
materials necessary totiie reparation and growth of the
organs.
As it is the only means by which the great function of
nutrition is accomplished, so also is this important vital
fluid the source of all the humors of the body. The
saliva, tears, bile, urine, perspiration and all other se
cretions, tire taken from the blood. How indispensable
then is it that this FOUNTAIN OF LIFE be in a pure
and healthy state.
Bristol’s Sarsaparilla is the greatest purifier of the blood
known to the Materia Medica.
Invalids, Remember—That Bristol’s is the only pure
extract of Sarsaparilla prepared in this country, one hot
He of which is worth ten of the kind offered by many
unprincipled quacks throughout the I Hited .States.
The case of Janies Wyckoff has no equal, if stands
out alone! Bristol’s Sarsaparilla has achieved, in this
cure, a reputation and a fame that can never he won by
any other medicine.
A synopsis of the case, and a quotation extracted from
the most influential and respectable press, is all that can
he given in this sheet. The history of the young man
has been printed, and is in the hands of ugenis.
It, in the days ol the Apostles, among the many who
sought miraculous relief at their hands there had been
brought to them the remnant of a human being, deaf,
umb and partially blind, with both legs and one arm
eaten off by ulceration, his ears, his nose, and paitue
. 0.0, completely destroyed by the ravages of the terrible
. ' <se, whose work of destruction was surely and
sw ■ ■ going on—would it not have been deemed n
striko: . illustration of miraculous power had Hie cruel
malady L sen at once stayed—its horrible ulcerations at
once healed—and the mutilated body of the sufferer re
lieved from racking pain, his appetite restored—his sleep
again rendered sound and refreshing—his flesh, spirits,
animation once more returned—in short, a complete
restoration to general health effected.
Such would indeed have been deemed a miracle yet
such a wonderful work has been wrought by Bristol’s
Sarsaparilla'
James Wyckoff, now -22 years of age, and the son of
Peter Wyckoff, a farmer of Clarence, Erie Co., New
York, is the living monument of this most wonderful
-ore. When five years old, being attacked by measles,
ti. 'd a preparation of mercury administered to him!
and . r eleven years of wasting pain, and frightful mu
tilation, were its pernicious effects at work. Awful be
yond description were the sufferings of that poor boy
during the interval, as detailed in an interesting history
of his extraordinary cure, published in 1846, for bis ben
efit, and which can be find from Bristol’s agents.
Six years have now' elapsed since this modern miracle
was performed, and the person yet lives to testify
though mutely, yet most eloquently—to the curative pro
perties of Bristol’s Sarsaparilla.
CASE OF INFLAMATORY RHEUMATISM.
Hartford, Corns., Sept. 99, 184*2.
This may certify that I have been a subject of Inflam
matory Rheumatism for the last eighteen years, and
often confined to my lied for four or six weeks by each
attack. I have tried every possible remedy that the
most ce’ebrated of the New York medicinal faculty
could prescribe, besides any quantity of quack medi
cines, but did not obtain permanent relief.
Soon after resuming my residence in Hartford, I had
the most severe attack I ever had. I was contined to
my room two months, and when I left it was scarce'y
able to walk, and not without the most severe pain. My
lameness lasted from last October to the June following.
Having business in New York last February, I was
there introduced to a gentleman by the name ofTliomas
Hogan, svho highly recommended Bristol’s Sarsaparilla.
He told me that he had been confined to his bed eight
months, with Rheumatism and Scrofula, and his phy
sicians had given him up, a* past recovery. He used
tiftee bottles of Bristol’s Harsapariila, and it waste
this medicine alone that he attributed his present exis
tence.
1 concluded to defer the trial until I returned to Hart
s >rd, and again consulted my physician, whose prescrip
non 1 followed until May, without relief. I then bought
Bristol’s Sarsaparilla of you, and continued taking it ac
cording to directions. I then visited New York again,
and was there introduced to Mr. Bristol, who advised
me by all means to persevere. I cuffed on twenty dif
ferent individuals of the first respectability, who had
been cured of all the ills that flesh is heir to, who all at
tribute their restoration to health entirely to this invalu
able medicine. With all this testimony,Tcontinued tiff
T had taken sixteen bottles, which has restored me to
perfect health. 1 shall be happy at any time to give any
one all the information that I am possessed of, in regard
' to this invaluable medicine, and confidently recommend
it to all who are afflicted with the diseases for which it
ie r-commeiuled.
Respectfully yours, «. L. MOORE.
REMEMBER
That Bristol’s Sarsaparilla is the only Original Me
dicine, and that all the various Sarsaparilla* that have
sprung up in the last few years are mere imitations.—
Brisiol’s was established in 18.19. In 1840 the proprie
tors, at an immense sacrifice, enlarged the bottles to a
quart, thus offering to the afflicted a large quantity and
ti pure article for the money than was ever before offer
ed.
These who buy Sarasparilla should be sure they are
buying the genuine article. Ask for Bristol’s Original

EPPING'S COMPOUND FLUID EX
TRACT OF SARSAPARILLA AND
QUEEN’S DELIGHT,
i HP® THE PL IILIC. This preparation has
T acquired a very extended and established ce
lebrity in most of the Southern States of the Union
—both in the hands of Physicians and private use
—which its efficacy alone has sustained tor several
rears, as a remedy for Scrofula or Kuigs’s Evil.
I Icerated Sore Throat, long standing Rheumatic
Affection, Diseases of the Skin, old Sores, White
Swellings, Diseases of the Rones, and all causes of
an ulcerous character. It is also particularly use
ful in chronic and nervous complaints occurring in
debilitated and cachetic constitutions. Over Sy
phillis and the host of painful, disagreeable and
hitherto incurable affections resulting therefrom,
such as Ulcers of the Throat, Larynx. Nodes. Ac.,
and all those evils occasioned by an improper and
injtuiicious use of “mercury,” it displays complete
control. It has been found to be a mostuselul pu
rifier of the blood in all such diseases.
In all complicated cases ol Scrofula and Syphi
lis, and in cases where the Syphilitic virus of the
parent causes a development of Syphilis or Scro
fula in the child, this is the only remedy upon
which the hope of recovery can be reasonably
founded, ft relieves the disease, and at the same
time imparts vigor tothe whole system—uuderthe
use of this medicine, the patient is enabled to take
nourishing food, which in other practice it with
held. In many cases where the horrible ravages
of disease have taken so deep root that patients
have been given up by Hie most skilful physicians,
the disease has been arrested and the patient re
stored to good health, Ac., and the most reasona
ble expectations fully satisfied.
The cures performed in this eity alone, are suffi
cient to establish its reputation on a permanent
basis, and too solid to be effected either by the
malignant or envious. It is worthy of note that
