Notice to till the friends and rela
tivesof Uncle Simon I*. White,
who lives two miles south of Ax
son, < Jeorgia.
There is to he a birthday dinner
given in honor of his 7<ith birth
day, and the friends and relatives
of the aged Confederate veteran
have a desire to honor him with
their presence on that day, March
3rd, 1920, with well-filled baskets
of something good to eat.
There will be also a splendid
musical program, rendered by
classes from the Axson school who
will march over there for their
dinner, as most of the pupils are
related.
All friends and relatives are Cor
el inly invited to attend and carry
well filled baskets. Let’s make the
afternoon a very pleasant one.

Schools, and as I am engaged at
this time in teaching at Axson, Ga.,
I w ill not be able to see and talk
with all (lie voters personally in
the county, therefore, I take this
method in soliciting your vote and
support at the primary, to be held
on the day appointed by the I ><-
mocratic Executive Committee.
I promise if elected to that im
port ant office to serve the people
in all sections of the county, with
equal rights to all and special
privilege to none, and at the least
possible legitimate cost to the tax
payers of our young county.
1 further state and promise that
in asking the good people of this
county to elect me to this office,
I have no desire whatever to set
up any methods or doctrines, in
the public school of the county
except those recommended and
taught by our worthy State Super
intendent of Schools, Mr. Brittain,
and tin' other loading educators of
our State.
I w ish also to state further that
I am a graduate from the Georgia
Normal College and Business Ins
tituto of Douglas. Georgia, and
hold a first grade license for teach
ing in the public schools of the
State, and have been teaching
more or less for the past 18 years.
