Ladies Did Well.
The Altar Society of the Catholic
church served lunch and supper in
the Elken building on Newcastle
street yesterday afternoon and even
ing and quite a neat sum was rea
lized. The menu offered was an un
usually attractive one.
To Lecture Sunday Night.
The Rev. Robt. Kerr delivered his
first of a series of sermons on “Hea
ven' last Sunday evening to a crown
ed house. The service was a most
enjoyable one and will not soon be
lorgotten by the many who attended.
The kindred theme for next Sunday
night will be, “Where is Heaven? or.
Hypotheses as to Location.”

number two (No. 2) and being the
same tract of land upon which the
parties of the first part now reside,
and having originally been conveyed

which arrived in port Monday, has
about finished loading, and will sai)
to-day or to-morrow for New York.
