All freight and passenger train*
over the Atlanta, Birmingham and At
lantic railroad are now using the new '
cut-off. However, the trains are us
ing this track only temporarily,
while a number of repairs are being
made on the old tracks of the road
in the southern section of the city.
By this new route the trains cut oft
a* distance of about three mites, biu
no alteration has been made in the
schedules of the passenger trains.
The new cut-off comes in from Coch
ran avenue down N street, thence to
A, coming in back of the Oglethorpe
hotel and to the present depot of tne
road.
It is understood that as soon as the
necessary repairs are made on the otu
tracks, trains will continue to use n
until the new union depot is com
pleted, when all trains will be oper
ated over the new line
