A full at tendance is urged by the Lady Com mander. • • • Dr. and Mrs. G. W. Blanton left last night for Atlanta, called there by the Illness of the little son of Mr and Mrs. Edward 15. Smith, who has meningitis. Their many friends hope for the little one’s rapid re covery. • • • The Acacia Club met yesterday afternoon with Mrs. Miller Nightin gale, who entertained the members very pleasantly with cards. Five hand euchro was played and there were "three tables. Tho score cards were pretty and artistic with Japa neso decorations. Tho games wero •cored with tiny bells, the lone hands with little glass stags and the 20-band plays with tiny Japanese dolls. The ilrst prize was won by Mrs. W. G. Brantley, recently elect ed a member of the club. The lone hand was won by Mrs. C. D. l’arkor and tho consolation by Mrs. F. D, M. Strachan. The affair was much enjoyed toy the members present. The attendance was fair and several Im portant matters were discussed rela tlve lo Improvements needed at the hospital. The marriage was announced to take place in the winter and came as a surprise to the friendsi of the young people. Mrs. Bonneyman is a very bright and charming young woman and quite handsome. She Is a sister of Mrs. Bttlow Campbell, of Atlanta, and of Miss Martha. Berry, who has distinguished herself in her philan thropic work in rural education.
